Our Vision for Crossroad

At Crossroad, our purpose statement is to be “Navigating Life’s Crossroads Together by Growing Hopeful People One Life at a Time!”

From the Pastor:

What do you think of when you hear the word, “hope?” Perhaps you have heard the word used in a recent conversation: “With the housing market the way it is, I hope I don’t lose my house!” In that context, hope refers to something that is very uncertain!

However in Scripture, “hope” never refers to something uncertain. It is, “a confident expectation or trust in someone or something.” In fact, we are repeatedly encouraged throughout the Bible to “hope in the Lord.” We can confidently expect God to do what He says and trust Him to lead and guide us well. Here at Crossroad Baptist Church we are passionate about getting to know our God! The more we get to know Him, the more “full of hope” we will become. God is honored when we are full of hope in Him alone! Come navigate life’s crossroads with us as we seek to grow hopeful people, one life at a time!

What do hopeful people look like?

How will Crossroad grow hopeful people?

By Teaching

At Crossroad, we are committed to providing the instruction and resources for developing Christ-honoring marriages that last and families that model the relationship between God and man. You will have the opportunity to stretch your mind and feed your heart on the powerful truths of God’s Word. We have Bible study opportunities and classes for all ages.

By Fellowship

Meeting together for fellowship around the Bible provides opportunities to cultivate life-long friendships and to help one another in our walk with God. Children’s clubs, youth activities, and fellowships for families and singles help us accomplish these goals.

By Service

Whether setting up for church, singing in choir, playing an instrument, teaching, leading children’s clubs, serving in nursery, or participating in visitation, Crossroad provides opportunities for Christians to follow the Master by serving others.

By Outreach

Crossroad strives to motivate and train each believer to share with others the good news of salvation through Jesus alone, as we proclaim the gospel at home and around the world.

By Music

Good music is essential to a healthy church. At Crossroad our conservative music glorifies God and touches the heart while avoiding the sensuality of the world.

  • HHim First – Hopeful people will put Christ first in their lives, marriages, friendships and relationships because Colossians 1:18b reminds us that our goal should be, “That in all things He might have the preeminence.”
  • OOthers Oriented – Hopeful people will be concerned about the needs of others and will take seriously Paul’s exhortation to the Galatians to, “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ (6:2).” They will follow Christ’s supreme example as stated in Philippians 2:3b, “…in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves…”
  • PPrayer Empowered – Hopeful people will prioritize prayer as Ephesians 6:18 reminds us, “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit…”
  • EEvangelistic –Hopeful people will seek the lost with the compassion of Christ by following the Lord’s command in Mark 16:15, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
  • FFilled with the Spirit – Hopeful people will seek God’s power for daily living by being, “filled with the Spirit”(Ephesians 5:18b) which will show in their walk, “Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” (Galatians 5:16)
  • UUnited in Purpose and Direction – Hopeful people seek unity in the church rather than division as they endeavor, “to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace,”(Ephesians 4:3) so that their testimony does not suffer. “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” (Psalm 133:1)
  • LListening to the Word – Hopeful people will make the Bible an essential part of their private and public walk with the Lord by reading and studying it personally and corporately. “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom.” (Colossians 3:16a) “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:” (I Peter 2:2)
